As dancers, we want to be aware of what we eat. It's not enough to say "I'm on a low-fat diet". It's very important to know what kinds of foods we can eat. That includes knowing what kinds of fats we can eat.

Yes my friends, fats are a necessity in our diets. Fats helps nutrient absorption, nerve transmission, maintaining cell membrane integrity etc. However, when consumed in excess amount, fats contribute to weight gain, heart disease and certain types of cancer. None of us want that. Some fats promote our health positively while some increase our risks of heart disease. The key is to replace bad fats with good fats in our diet.
